On July 27th of this year, Joshua Davis asked me to be his wife and I happily said yes! We have set the date of our wedding to take place on October 20, 2018 and have everything booked and ready to go. Soon I will be Mrs. Brittany Davis! However, there has been a slight change.
As many of my friends may know, Josh and I are devout Christians who truly wish to live life the way that God has intended for us to live. In the last year or so, we feel we have truly fallen short of what God’s desire is for us by living together outside of the commitment of marriage. This not only effected our relationship with God, but also took away from the excitement of moving in together on our wedding day!
While we do not claim to be perfect Christians, we do want to do what is right in the eyes of God as much as we humanly can and therefore have decided to make a slight alteration to our plans.
Within the next two weeks, Josh and I are going to get married and make our relationship right with God. We are not hosting a public ceremony at this time, but rather we are just going to have a small gathering with our parents and siblings. We still intend to have the large wedding ceremony next fall as planned so that we can celebrate our love with our family and friends.
We hope to see many of you at our wedding next fall, and ask that you pray for our relationship as we take this huge step into a new part of our life! All in all, we are extremely excited that we have made this decision because we know that our relationship with God will flourish and be made right.
